Heather Hunt
Heather served as a Public Utility Commissioner in the State of Connecticut and then the State of Maine. In Connecticut, she focused on the cable industry and overseeing the transition to a competitive telecommunications market structure. In Maine, her principle focus was reforming the electric industry market structure.
Her experience in state government includes various positions in the legal office of former Connecticut Governor Lowell P. Weicker, Jr. She concluded her tenure as Deputy Legal Counsel.
After leaving public service, Heather held a series of progressive positions at Southern Connecticut Gas Company and ultimately served as Vice President of Regulatory and Public Policy. She represented the company in administrative law proceedings before the Connecticut Department of Public Utility Control and represented the company before Connecticut General Assembly.; She also directed the company’s external regulatory counsel and lobbyists.
Prior to founding her law practice, Heather was Director of State Government Relations for the United Technologies Corporation. On behalf of United Technologies and its business units, including Pratt & Whitney, Otis, Sikorsky, Carrier, Hamilton Sundstrand and UTC Power, she lobbied the executive and legislative branches of state governments, managed external lobbyists, directed political giving at the state level and coordinated state ethics law compliance.
She is a member of the Board of Directors at the Connecticut Water Services Inc. Heather has a law degree from the Western New England College School of Law and a BA in Politics from Fairfield University.
